Roslindale Porchfest Book Sale

Instead of hosting our sidewalk book sale on September 10 as originally planned, the Friends will be hosting the sale in front of the library during Roslindale Porchfest.
Homework Assistance Program
We do not have the start date for the Monday-Thursday Homework Assistance Program yet. High School Homework mentors are currently being recruited. Our Boston Teachers Union tutor is scheduled to start Thursday, September 29 from 4-6 p.m.
Aging Mastery Program

The National Council on Aging is providing this 12-week program. Topics include improving your health, financial well-being, community involvement and more. Banned Books Week 2016
The American Library Association Office for Intellectual Freedom (OIF) promotes awareness of challenges to library materials and celebrates freedom of speech during Banned Books Week, which takes place this year September 25 – October 1. Here are the top ten most challenged books as reported in the media and submitted to ALA by librarians and teachers across the country in 2015.
