Day of the Dead

Gather at the farmers market’s kids area for traditional dances, games, and crafts by La Piñata, a Halloween costume parade, and a viewing of the Disney classic COCO in the community center! Photos of your deceased loved ones are welcome on our Community Altar. Mexican hot chocolate and pan de Muerto will be served.  In the event of inclement weather, La Piñata’s performance will take place inside the Roslindale Community Center across the street at 10 am. Our new children’s librarian Celeste Bocchicchio-Chaudhri will host a viewing of COCO at the Roslindale Community Center starting at 11:30 am.  Snacks will be provided.  By the way, we did an interview with Celeste about why she became a librarian and the new programs and initiatives she plans to implement in her new job.
